CyberThreats Daily: Get a Free iPad on Facebook?

Really, all you have to do is talk someone into giving you their iPad, but you’re not going to get one if you fall for the spam that has been going around on Facebook recently. 🙂

Public Access PCs Booby-Trapped

David Harley, ESET Senior Research Fellow, summed up an incident involving a couple of public libraries in the Manchester area of the UK, where keyloggers were found to have been attached to PCs used by members of the public.

BBC confirms sites were hacked to serve malware

The BBC has confirmed that BBC Radio’s 6Music and 1Xtra sites were hacked to serve malware. In a statement to The H, a BBC spokesperson said, “We can confirm that the 1xtra and 6Music websites were hacked yesterday. The issue was quickly dealt with, and the sites are now back to normal. We’re currently investigating what happened”. Read the full article here.
